Your digital membership card

Every member has a branded digital membership card inside the app, under their membership. It shows their tier, their points balance, and a QR code your team scans at reception. This article covers how it works today, what's coming with Apple Wallet, and what your staff do with it.

What the membership card is

The membership card lives inside the app, under the patient's membership. Because it is part of the app rather than a separate pass, it always shows the patient's current balance, there is nothing to add, refresh or reinstall.

The card shows:

  • Your clinic's name and logo (not Clinic App branding)
  • The patient's name
  • Their current membership tier (e.g. Gold Member)
  • Their current points balance
  • A QR code for in-clinic scanning

Apple Wallet passes: coming soon

Apple Wallet passes are being enabled and will be switched on clinic by clinic once ready. We will let you know when this is available for your clinic. There is no Google Wallet integration; Android members use the in-app membership card described above.

If a patient asks about adding their membership to Apple Wallet, let them know it is coming and that the in-app membership card works the same way in the meantime, it can be shown at reception any time they have the app open.

If a patient has trouble finding their membership card in the app, ask them to check they are signed in and have an active membership, and that their app is up to date. If the issue continues, message us in the WhatsApp group with their email address.

How your team uses it at reception

When a patient arrives, they can open their membership card in the app and show the QR code on their phone. Your team scans the QR code using the Staff scanner in your dashboard (or via the dashboard on a tablet at reception). Scanning the code pulls up the patient's profile instantly: their name, tier, points balance, appointment history, and any active offers they have claimed.

From the scan screen, your team can:

  • Confirm the patient's identity and membership status at a glance
  • See their points balance and any offers they have claimed
  • Log a visit, which can trigger automated points or update their booking record
  • Manually add or adjust points if needed (with your approval as the clinic owner)

You do not need a separate device or scanner. Any phone or tablet with a camera and access to your dashboard works. The staff scanner is designed to be used at a front desk without any training beyond a quick five-minute walkthrough.

Branding on the card

The membership card shows your clinic's name and logo. Clinic App does not appear anywhere on the patient-facing card. From the patient's perspective, this is your branded membership card.

Your clinic name and logo are pulled from your branding setup in your dashboard. If you update your logo, the card updates for patients automatically. You do not need to ask patients to do anything.

Card colours are set to match your brand palette at onboarding. If you want to update the colours after launch, message us and we will update it for you.

Note

Apple Wallet passes are not live yet. We will confirm with you once they are switched on for your clinic. In the meantime, the in-app membership card covers the same reception workflow described above.
