Setting up your clinic's branding

Your app looks like your clinic, not like Clinic App. Branding is set in your dashboard under the Branding section. This article covers how to update your logo, colour, hero image and clinic name after your initial setup.

Note

The Clinic App team handles your initial branding setup during onboarding. This article is for updating it later. If you are still in your build phase, your onboarding contact will take care of this for you.

Your logo appears on the app home screen, the Wallet pass and in the header of patient-facing emails.

Recommended specs:

  • Format: PNG with a transparent background (preferred) or SVG
  • Minimum width: 400px
  • Maximum file size: 2MB
  • Avoid logos with a white background if your app uses a light colour scheme

To upload, go to Branding in your dashboard, click the logo field and select your file. The preview updates immediately so you can check how it looks before saving.

Choosing your primary colour

Your primary colour is used for buttons, highlighted text, active tab indicators and accents throughout the app. It is the single most impactful branding element.

Enter your colour as a hex code (e.g. #C04B8A) in the Colour field under Branding. If you do not know your exact brand hex code, your graphic designer or the person who built your logo will have it.

Tips:

  • Use a colour that has enough contrast against white so buttons are readable
  • Test on both light and dark backgrounds using a free contrast checker if you are unsure
  • Avoid very light colours (pale pinks, near-whites) as they become invisible against the app background

Adding a hero image or banner

The hero image sits behind your welcome message on the app home screen. It is optional but adds polish and reinforces your clinic's aesthetic.

Recommended specs:

  • Format: JPG or PNG
  • Dimensions: at least 1200 x 600px, landscape orientation
  • File size: under 500KB for fast loading on mobile

Use a lifestyle image that reflects your clinic's look and feel. A treatment room, product flatlay or team photo works well. Avoid images with lots of text as they may be cropped on smaller screens.

Your clinic name in the app

The clinic name set in your dashboard is what patients see as the app title on their phone's home screen, in Wallet, and in automated messages sent from the app.

Use the name patients already know. If patients refer to you as "Pearl Clinic" rather than your full legal name, use "Pearl Clinic".

To update it, go to Branding > Clinic Name and save. The change is reflected in new messages immediately. It does not rename the app on a patient's phone screen (that is set at install time), but it updates all in-app references.

Changes go live immediately

Every branding change you save goes live to all your patients' apps straight away. There is no preview-and-publish step.

Important

If you are making significant changes (e.g. rebranding your clinic), test the update on your own patient profile first. Log in as a patient on your device, save the change in the dashboard, and check everything looks right before patients see it.
