Sending a one-time offer to your members

A one-time offer is a short-term promotion you push to your members through the app. It is the fastest way to fill a slow week, launch a new treatment, or re-engage members who have not booked in a while. You build it in the dashboard and it reaches members immediately via a push notification.

What a one-time offer is

A one-time offer is a time-limited promotion on a specific treatment or product. You decide what the offer is (bonus points, a dollar discount, or a bundled deal), who receives it, and how long it is available. Examples:

  • "Double points on any HydraFacial booked this week"
  • "$30 off your next LED session, valid until Friday"
  • "Complimentary skin scan with any facial this month"

The offer appears as a card in the patient's app and they receive a push notification to alert them. They tap the notification, see the offer details, and can book directly from the app.

Creating an offer in the dashboard

Go to Dashboard › Offers › New offer. Fill in:

  • Offer title: Short and specific. "Double points this week" beats "Special offer for our valued members".
  • Description: What the patient gets and any conditions (one per member, single use, in-clinic only).
  • Treatment or product: Link the offer to a specific item from your treatment menu so the redemption is tracked correctly.
  • Offer type: Choose from bonus points, percentage off, or fixed dollar discount.
  • Value: Enter the discount amount or points multiplier.
  • Expiry date: When the offer stops being claimable. Set a specific date rather than leaving it open-ended. A tight window (three to seven days) drives more urgency.

Hit Preview to see exactly what patients will see before you send.

Choosing who receives it

You can target the offer at:

  • All members: Every patient with an active membership across all tiers.
  • A specific tier: For example, your top-tier members only, as a perk of their higher plan.
  • Lapsed members: Patients who have not booked in the last 60 or 90 days. Useful for re-engagement campaigns.
  • New members: Patients who joined in the last 30 days. A welcome offer on their first return visit is a strong retention tactic.

Targeted offers tend to perform better than broad blasts because they feel relevant. If you are promoting a skin treatment, sending it to lapsed members with a skincare history rather than all members usually gets a higher redemption rate.

What the patient sees

When you send the offer, the patient receives a push notification with the offer headline. Tapping it opens the offer card in the app, which shows the offer details, the expiry date, and a Claim offer button. Claiming locks the offer to their account. They then need to mention the offer when they book or arrive at your clinic, and your team confirms the redemption in the dashboard.

If a patient's notifications are turned off, the offer still appears in the Offers tab of their app. They just will not get the lock-screen alert. This is why consistent in-clinic promotion of the app matters.

Compliance: what offers can and cannot include

Offers can apply to any non-prescription treatment or retail product. This includes facials, skin treatments, LED therapy, skincare retail, wellness services, and any product sold at your clinic.

Offers cannot apply to prescription cosmetic injectable services. Do not name injectable brands or their generic equivalents in offer copy. Do not offer discounts on these services through the app. If you are unsure whether a specific service is prescription-only, message us before creating the offer.

Keep offer language factual. Avoid before-and-after claims or outcome guarantees in the offer description.

When to use one-time offers

The highest-impact times to run a one-time offer:

  • Slow periods: Monday and Tuesday mornings are typically the quietest booking slots in most clinics. An offer sent Sunday evening that expires Tuesday can fill those gaps fast.
  • New treatment launch: Give members first access to a new service before it opens to non-members. This makes the membership feel exclusive and drives trial of your new offering.
  • Re-engagement: If you have members who have not booked in 60 days, a targeted offer with a clear expiry will often bring them back. Combine it with a push notification that references their points balance.
  • Seasonal moments: Mother's Day, winter skin season, end of financial year. Tie the offer to something timely.

Keep offers to roughly one or two per month. More than that and they start to feel routine rather than special, and your open rates will drop.

Compliance

Offers and promotions in the app apply to non-prescription services and retail products only. Never name or discount prescription injectable brands. For the full list of what can and cannot be rewarded or promoted, see What you can and can't reward.
